Deeva Rose

Deeva Rose is proud to call the Minneapolis burlesque scene their home. This traveling showgirl is a producer, teacher, fat activist and avid cat lover. Known at the Best Chest in the Midwest, Deeva has traveled around the United States spreading fat acceptance, inspiring self confidence and body love. 

As Headmistress of The Rose Academy of Burlesque, Deeva sparks body love through joyful movement and striptease. Focusing on creating an inclusive environment that centers around teaching burlesque for all bodies, abilities, races and gender expression. They are also a part of the Legends Outreach Team for the Burlesque Hall of Fame and believes in connecting the younger burlesque generation with the old.

As a producer for Sovereign Tease, Deeva produces La Folies Burlesk, a twice-monthly show at the historic Gay 90s. She is the entertainment lead and a performer at Kinky Friday, a monthly live BDSM event. With Cake Plus Size Resale, Deeva produces Take It Off: A Fat Burlesque Revue, a yearly show featuring all-fat performers. 

At home, Deeva is a member of The Vigilantease Collective, a queer group of indendant ARTivists. Lead by local Minneapolis luminary, Sweetpea, TVC has performed at the historic First Avenue, opened for groups such as En Vogue, Brandy, The Pointer Sisters and TLC at Twin Cities Pride, and was a featured guest at the International Nerdlesque Festival at Coney Island.

When not onstage you can find Deeva sweating it out in the hot yoga room, listening to Lindy West books and hanging out with her two black cats, Lola and Franklin.
